Volunteers Needed
There are many available volunteer positions on race week-end, some more attractive then others however all need to be manned. This is an ideal opportunity if you would like to be involved with what it takes to put on an event that attracts 1000+ folks. Need to get in some time for a merit badge, looking to start a promotion/sports business.... just like to be part of something or are in need of a few bucks..
There also is still available charitable positions for Cape Cod based non-profit organizations that want to be involved and associated with a dynamic sporting event on Cape Cod. The Non-Profit must be willing to be actively involved in this event.

| Registration: | From 12:00 Noon till 5:00 p.m. - Greet the Runners, Family & Friends on the day before the Event and help pass out pre-registered bib #'s, tee shirts, timing chips as well as process those registering on Saturday. |
| Information: | From 12:00 Noon till 5:00 p.m. - Greet the Runners, Family & Friends on the day before the Event and assisting with information such as passing out course maps, 2002 awards and finisher medals not picked up last year, pointing out where certain things are such as where the toilets are, post race food will be, starting line, ecetera. |
| Course Crew: | 12:00 Noon till 5:00 p.m. - Set up aid stations, drop off tables on course, road cones and horses. Set-Up Finish Line and adjacent area. |
| Sheraton Crew: | 7:00 a.m. - 12:00 Noon - Set up Ballroom for Event registration, food, awards, ecetera. |

| Course Crew: | 6:00 A.M till 5:00 p.m. - Set up the aid stations, place road cones and horses in position. Take down course - put equipment away. Take down Finish Line - clean up Sheraton Parking Lot of equipment |
| Sheraton Crew: | 6:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. - Take down all equipment - clean-up |
| Course Monitor: | 9:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. - Perhaps the most important position, being on the course regardless of weather conditions assisting with direction and monitoring |
| Medical Aid: | 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. - Located on the course or at the Sheraton Hyannis Resort Hotel, another extremely important position - work along side Barnstable EMT's & Red Cross-Cape Cod Chapter |
| Aid Station: | 9:30 A.M - 4:00 p.m. - Pass out water, gatorade to passing runners |
| Finish Line: | 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. - Work with Granite State Race Services with timing, collecting the runner chip. |
| Food & Beverage: | 10:00 A.M - 4:00 p.m. - Set up and manage the post race food & beverage |
| Parking Attendant: | 7:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. - Monitor parking at available lots |

Current Volunteer Groups
Boys & Girls Club of Cape Cod is an important part of the Event and a beneficiary of a portion of the funds raised. Children and young adults from the club stuff the race bags and also will be working on race day at water stops, assisting with traffic control and other important tasks associated with the Event. |
| Boston Triathlon Team will be assisting for the 4th year in a row. The BTT will be responsible for the aid station at Craigville Beach Road & Centerville Road. | ![]() |

Colonial Road Runners, a south shore based running club will
be responsible for a number of different duties including: parking,
expo help and day of race registration. |

| Dennis-Yarmouth High School Boy's Spring Track and Field teams will be working the Finish Line and assisting in serving the post race food. |
